Some awesome news to wrap up 2019: we’re proud to announce that Cortex clients Cloud DX and AceAge have been selected as part of Canada’s first Amazon Alexa accelerator cohort.
Both companies won entrance to Canada’s first and only Amazon-collaborated business accelerator after entering a nation-wide competition. This new program, run by the Accelerator Centre in Waterloo, offers startups the resources to grow to scale – supported by Amazon, a world leader in voice technology.
It’s a thrilling development for two of our burgeoning clients in the medical space. Cortex worked with Cloud DX to develop the VITALITI Tricorder, a wearable “doctor in a box” that monitors all 5 vital signs and diagnoses 19 medical conditions – a collaboration that led to our Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE win. We worked with AceAge on Karie, an intuitive medical dispensing system that promises to improve health outcomes through better medication adherence – a project we believed in so much that we decided to invest.
A hearty congrats to the great teams at both companies! We couldn’t be happier to see your hard work pay off.
